UPDATE AUGUST 7: JP Hightek, the developer and maintainer behind the Jesus Box repository, has shut the doors and closed down the repo forever as of August 7. The site at http://jesusboxrepo.xyz/repo is offline and not coming back according to JP Hightek, developer of Genesis Reborn. The JesusBox repository has been very popular for a long time and will be sorely missed by many in the Kodi third-party community.

JP Hightek Closes JesusBox Repo

Tuesday morning, JP Hightek tweeted to the Kodi third-party community:

Hey guys i need to inform you All that the Jesus Box Repo has officially closed and will not be returning. As of my part, I am not and will not be working on any Kodi related addons, wizards or builds any longer moving forward. Shalom to you all

If loving the Genesis Reborn addon for its ease of use and many working links, check out one of these great working Kodi addons to avoid missing an episode or movie. In particular, the new update to the great Exodus Kodi addon will tantalize and thrill you with its simplicity and completeness.

You’ll also want to check out the Blamo repo. This favorite has tons of great Kodi addons to stream free movies, TV shows, and even live sports. Most of the best working Kodi addons call the Blamo repo home. This includes Neptune Rising, Placenta, Arrakis, Aragon Live, and Death Streams all call the Blamo repo home. As mentioned in the comments below, Daddy Blamo (aka Mr Blamo) is one tenaciously ballsy SOB and won’t likely be run out of Dodge anytime soon. Blamo Repo has also closed down as of September 10, 2018.

Jesus Box Repository is currently one of the most popular Kodi repos available. You won’t find Jesusbox repo running in social media circles like most of the Kodi third-party community. If needing help with any of their addons, you’ll need to reach out to the community itself. Feel free to ask any questions you have right here in the comments if you like. Jesus Box Repo can be found on GitHub at their https://github.com/jesusboxrepo address, which will also provide information about updates when they happen. Repositories such as JesusBox go down every day, but quite often internet service providers simply block the addresses of Kodi addons and repos from being accessed. This has made many addons and repos unusable by Kodi users in the past. The proven way to get around these restrictions is with the Surfshark VPN app that encrypts all online activities and masks access points.

Currently, Jesus Box repository contains a reincarnated version of one of the most popular Kodi addons of all time. Genesis by the developer Lambda began what turned out to be the greatest line of third-party Kodi code ever. Of course, the Jesusbox repository has much more than Genesis Reborn going for it. Many other great Kodi addons and a collection of amazing Kodi builds also make Jesusbox a wonderful choice.

Is the JesusBox Repo Down or Not Working?

This repository is a great one and comes under attack from anti-piracy zealots trying to take it down often. The addons within the Jesusbox repo and even the repository itself have recently been blocked by some internet service providers, so are not working for many Kodi users. This ISP tactic doesn’t work against people using Surfshark VPN VPN servers to mask their activities and location, though. If you notice the Jesus Box repo URL is not working and seems down and your addons fail to update or install, please let us know in the comments. We’ll get the details and report any updated source location right away if the repo has gone down.

i want flixnet back :'( it was my favourite

Alice on Fire · 2018-10-24 at 2:15 pm

I know what you mean, Katie. I never used Flixnet, but loved Genesis Reborn. You might like the new version of Exodus from the KodiBae repo. I’ve heard Flixnet was similar.

Jesus · 2018-08-27 at 9:27 pm

Darn it to heck. Darn it, I say! I just got used to my replacement for Covenant and now this… wait. Wait just a moment. Let me process this. Did you say Exodus? 🙂

Alice on Fire · 2018-08-27 at 10:24 pm

    Hiya, Jesus!

Why yes, I did indeed confer an utterance of that particular name into the great wide open quite unabashedly and truly. Check it out at the fully updated Exodus from KodiBae repo article. Enjoy!

Liesel · 2018-08-25 at 1:27 am

What in the name of drop-kick crust, JP!! I was just getting used to your rebirth of Genesis! Why would you kill the infant Genesis Reborn?! AAaarghgl! *whimper* Okay… I’m over it now. Suppose I’ll try this new Exodus update.

Calvin · 2018-08-23 at 1:16 pm

It’s not working. I’m sure I typed the Jesusbox repo address exactly like you show.

Alice on Fire · 2018-08-24 at 4:35 pm

Hey, Calvin. JP Hightek took JesusBox repo offline, so it’s down and never coming back. No matter how it’s typed, it’ll no longer work. Sorry my notice at the top of the page wasn’t clear enough. Try the Blamo, Supremacy, or MaverickTV repositories. They’re full of great Kodi addons if that’s what you’re looking for. 🙂

varun · 2018-08-21 at 9:20 pm

so many updates this time not what happens. so we get blamo for repo stream without jesus box?

Brett Wolfe · 2018-08-12 at 7:28 pm

Does the fact that the Jesus Box Repo is shut down mean that Genesis Reborn is also done?

Alice on Fire · 2018-08-13 at 10:34 am

    Hey Brett,

Yes, Genesis Reborn, unless picked up by another developer, has been set aside by JP Hightek as well. I now suggest using the newly updated Exodus. It’s fully working once more and still has the great, simple interface that most other Kodi addons emulate. What I said to Dave below still applies, also. There are plenty of great addons in the Blamo Repo as well.

    Good luck on your hunt.

      bob · 2018-08-21 at 6:56 pm

I like dave above went to up date my jesusbox and it wouldn’t load the builds or anything, it said something about about a invalid url on the wizard. I have contacted the jesusbox people thru chat and email but no response so far (tried for two hours). These are some great people and support the product, which is the main reason I have the jesusbox. I will let you know what I find out.

Alice on Fire · 2018-08-22 at 6:53 am

Hi Bob, Thanks for the update. The only thing I’ve seen is the tweet by JP Hightek stating that he was shutting the JesusBox repo down and not working on Kodi projects anymore. If you hear different, please do let us know here. It’d be very much appreciated.

Dave · 2018-08-09 at 2:39 pm

installation of video addons fails, tried updating repo and it failed.

Alice on Fire · 2018-08-09 at 7:16 pm

    Hi Dave,

It seems JP Hightek shut JesusBox repo down a couple of days ago. While he refuses to comment on why, I’d guess it’s likely the harassment of anti-piracy zealots.

You’ll want to take a look at the Blamo repo, which has a ton of great addons for streaming movies, TV shows, and even live sports. Most of the best working Kodi addons including Neptune Rising, Placenta, Arrakis, Aragon Live, and Death Streams all call the Blamo repo home. Also, Daddy Blamo (aka Mr Blamo) is a tenacious, ballsy SOB that will likely be going nowhere for a long time.

Frank · 2018-07-30 at 10:53 am

That Genesis reborn is really nice (dare I say righteous… punny)! It has everything I wanted to see!

Warren · 2018-07-26 at 10:55 am

This repository of Jesus Box is pretty nice with the Genesis Reborn, but isn’t the Genesis Reborn same thing as the Neptune Rising?

Alice on Fire · 2018-07-26 at 12:15 pm

Hey Warren… while Genesis Reborn and Neptune Rising share ancestry, there are differences now with the current developers taking the design and coding of the addons in different directions. The differences in categories, layout, and streaming link availability may seem subtle due to how well Genesis, Exodus, Poseidon, Covenant, and other predecessors were coded and designed, but they are there. Over time, further developments in these great video streaming Kodi addons will take them farther apart, also. Thanks for the question!
